James Early, MD is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and the Medical Director of Via Christi Regional Medical Center’s Solutions for Life™.
Dr. Early received his Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1973. He has been board certified in family medicine and completed an internal medicine residency becoming board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1981.
In 1993, Dr. Early founded Solutions for Life™. Presently, Solutions for Life™ is one of the country’s premier adult weight loss clinics. The clinic specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of obesity; institutional and corporate wellness programming; the treatment of dyslipidemias and the behavioral education of medical professionals.
His major areas of interest include the behavioral management of lifestyle related chronic illnesses; obesity; health promotion and disease prevention; case and care management; lipid disorders; cardiovascular disease risk factors; and systems research related to ambulatory medical practice.
